Film & Feast - Film "Chocolate", Feast "Chocolate Fondue"

he 4th UU Fellowship Film & Feast event will be held on Saturday 27 April, 2019, at 1:00 pm. There will be a shared chocolate and fruit fondue preparation followed by the fondue brunch and the film. After the film there will be a short discussion and then the planning for the May event. Door prizes will be given!
RSVP by signing up on the Film & Feast Attendance Sheet in the kitchen indicating number of those attending and the item you are bringing. Please sign up by 25 April. All are welcome!
The Film: Chocolat. Approx. 2 hrs 2 min. 2000. A magical & delicious tale from director Lasse Hallstrom is set in a small French village in 1959 where a single mother arrives with her daughter and opens a chocolate shop whose confections have an intoxicating and liberating effect on the townspeople, until the iron-willed mayor tries to shut her down. And, an Irish river gypsy arrives in town and is seduced by her sweet spell.
Menu: Chocolate and fruit fondue, red, white wine.
Fruit: Strawberries, bananas, apples, seedless grapes, pineapple, oranges, mandarin oranges, melons, peaches, cherries, and other suitable dipping items.
Chocolate fondue: 12 1oz squares unsweetened chocolate, 3 cups sugar, 2 cups of light cream, 1 cup butter. (Should be enough for two fondue pots, Joan & I are bringing the 2 pots) Alternative fondue brew: white chocolate and 1/2 of the above fondue ingredients. An additional pot is needed. Bon Appetit
